- A craftsperson or artist whose medium is words for an institution devoted to the procurement, care, study, and display of objects of lasting interest or value.
- A person who works with words for a place where objects are exhibited.
- Dealing with or acting by means of words on behalf of a repository for the preservation and exhibition of objects illustrative of antiquities, natural history, fine and industrial art, or some particular branch of any of these subjects, either generally or with reference to a definite region or period.
