Who is Museum Wordsmith?

As principal of Museum Wordsmith, Erin Michaela Bendiner offers her clients more than a dozen years of publishing experience and insight. Her command of Chicago Manual of Style complements her expertise in Word and WordPerfect. Erin is also well versed in AP and GPO style manuals. She is proficient in Cindex, Access, and Excel, and has experience with InDesign, PageMaker, and QuarkXpress. Erin’s training coupled with her thoughtful approach allows her to bring precision, dedication, and respect to all her projects.

Erin studied many topics pertinent to her work in the museum world. As an undergraduate, she was an American Studies major at Georgetown University (history and literature with fine and performing arts concentrations). Later, she graduated from the master’s program in Early American Culture at the Winterthur Museum (decorative arts and material culture core with museum studies certification).

Along with her strong academic foundation, Erin has many pursuits that dovetail with her projects. She is a long-time dancer, amateur photographer, yoga practitioner, pop culture spectator, and voracious reader. Erin also brings an unquenchable thirst for new knowledge to her work.
